NAIX GmbH receives triple ISO certification from TÜV Rheinland

Highest protection of information assets at NAIX® — as information security requirements increase.

Cologne — 1st of March 2022 — Cologne-based AI-software company NAIX® has been certified by TÜV Rheinland according to the international standard ISO/IEC 27001:2013. This means that the emerging company complies with the highest IT security standards for the development, provision and distribution of software applications in the field of data protection as well as information security and associated services. Thus, customers and partners of NAIX GmbH secure themselves in the best possible way against misuse of their data. In addition, they benefit from optimally secured IT systems and business processes.

NAIX GmbH has successfully completed the certification according to ISO 27001:2013 for its AI-driven anonymization and pseudonymization software after a multi-day audit by TÜV Rheinland. ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is the leading international standard for Information-Security-Management-Systems (ISMS) and thus the most important certification in the field of cyber security. It provides companies with a systematic and structured basis for planning, establishing processes for implementing, monitoring and improving operational information security and therefore plays a key role in protecting confidential data in accordance with regulatory and legal requirements, as well as ensuring the availability of Naix's API and SaaS solution.

In order to achieve the applicable standards of the certificate, NAIX® has conducted in-depth audits of internal company processes from the very beginning and developed a comprehensive ISMS manual in accordance with DIN EN ISO 27001:2013. In the course of the certification process, the AI-software company has implemented further technical organizational measures — mainly focussing on the handling of information, particularly personal data, both internally and in relation to external service providers.

After a thorough planning and implementation phase, the external audit was conducted by TÜV Rheinland. Following an audit procedure of several days, divided into two audit stages, the successful certification according to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 (together with extended control set from ISO/IEC 27017:2015 and ISO/IEC 27018:2019) was pronounced — this confirms that the business processes of NAIX GmbH meet the highest standards of availability, confidentiality and integrity in context of the processing of data and also qualitatively comply with the internationally applicable standards.

In order to meet the desired requirements of partners as well as clients in the best possible way, CEO Ramin Karbalaie and Munich business angel Karl Olbert decided to obtain the TÜV certification according to DIN EN ISO 27001. Since 22nd of December 2021 NAIX GmbH is officially ISO certified. The certificate is valid for three years and will be re-audited by annual audits — this ensures the continuous and high quality information security management at NAIX® and, most importantly, holds significant benefits for clients and partners.

The decisive factor here is the fulfillment of internationally valid standards and the associated high level of authenticity towards our contractual partners with regard to the handling of highly critical and sensitive information. The audit also examined the complements to ISO 27017/18 controls, whose criteria NAIX GmbH also meets — these two standards relate specifically to cloud security and data protection, particularly in the area of public cloud services.
