What technologies does Naix use?

NAIX's AI-based anonymization solution is a combination of machine learning, natural language processing and linguistic models, focused on generic use cases.

What entities does Naix detect?

NAIX automatically detects and redacts the following entities:

• E-Mail Addresses

• Graphics
• Monetary Sums

More entities will be implemented in the near future.

Which language models are currently in place?

We currently support German, English and French language models. Other languages, such as Spanish and Italian are on the road map.

What file types does Naix support?

NAIX supports various document types - including PDFs, Word files, emails, scans and image formats.

Where does Naix store my data?

On Prem Model:

If the on-prem option is selected, data storage is the responsibility of the customer - i.e. the data is stored on the company's internal servers and never leaves this data room at any time - access by NAIX GmbH and its employees is thus excluded. A running internet connection to use the software is not necessary.

Cloud Model:

As an official partner of the Open Telekom Cloud, the transferred data sets are stored and managed in Docker containers as part of a Cloud Container Engine (CCE). However, as soon as the customer deletes his user account, the automatic deletion of all data in the cloud ultimately takes place at the same time. Likewise, if the customer initiates this while using our software, the data will be deleted.

Finally, Naix cannot retrieve and restore deleted data at any time - the customer should always be aware of this and carefully consider, coordinate and execute the eventual deletion of desired data sets.

Does NAIX have access to our documents?

No, Naix has at no point access to your data.

Is there a risk of re-identifying redacted entities after downloading the final document?

Naix anonymizes not only on the image layer but also on the text layer, so that the words behind the blackened areas are irrevocably deleted. This is checked and thus demonstrably guaranteed by performing regular external pentests.

Can we outsource the entire redaction process?

Yes. With our Naix Managed Services, we take care of the entire redaction process, providing the perfect solution for companies that lack the manpower to perform the time-consuming process themselves.
